Alvar Reisner has said that he keeps a so-called painting diary, where each entry (painting) reflects a moment, an area and urban design.

Reisner paints Estonian landscapes, cityscapes and lawyers, all with a sense of humour and a slight exaggeration and in a more modern, minimalist style. At the same time, he leaves room for the desire for randomness arising from boredom.
